Going to the nail salon is a treat! It’s not just about getting your nails done – it’s about taking a little time for yourself and indulging in something that makes you feel pampered, beautiful, and relaxed. So what do you do when the artists have done their magic and it is time to tip? In this blog post we will answer that all-important question – how much to tip in a nail salon?

The tip amount you leave at a nail salon will depend on a few factors.

The first is the quality of service you receive. If your manicurist takes her time, does not rush through your appointment, and makes sure you are happy with everything before she leaves, then you can feel free to tip a little more than usual. A good rule of thumb is to tip 15% of the cost of your manicure. If you are unsure how much this will be, ask your nail technician before she begins working on your nails.

The second is the type of salon you are in. If you are at a luxury nail salon, then feel free to tip more than 15%. This is especially true if you have a manicure or pedicure that includes a special treatment or massage.

A tip is a gratuity – a thank you for great service. It acknowledges the time and effort that goes into providing quality service. Tips are not required, but they’re appreciated by many salon professionals who work hard to provide you with excellent service.
